Internet Advertising
The future of online ad is bright, according to several research and financial companies.
Wall Street firm JMP Securities announced that the global online ad market is expected to grow at a 25 percent increase annually for the next five years. JMP Securities predicts that the online ad market will grow to $26.4 billion worldwide and to $33.2 billion in 2007.
JupiterResearch forecasts that online display and search advertising spending will grow at an average annual rate of 10 percent between 2005 and 2010, driven by the media and entertainment, financial services and automotive industries.
Forrester Research says that internet users are spending more than 30 percent of their media time online.
"We expect large-budget advertisers to continue shifting an increasing percentage of their traditional ad budgets to the internet," JMP analyst William Morrison told Reuters.
